I always wondered what happened behind the scenes in the BNN studio. Who makes everything run so smoothly? Who makes sure the newscast and videos are uploaded to YouTube on time? Having done this for two years, now I know. That 
person is me!
As editor of this impressive publication, it is my job to make sure that the newscast filmed each week is consistently in line with our high
standard. At Bruin News Now, we expect nothing less than the best. Of course, like in any other studio, there are slow news weeks, but we do not let that stop us from doing our job remarkably well.
When I first started in this position, one of the things that helped me the most was reviewing past editors' works. I learned how to use the software that our program uses so well, I feel well prepared to edit any type of video that comes across my desk. I've created all the intros, bumpers, and hype videos that are on our YouTube channel.
Each week, after the newscast has been filmed, I grab my laptop, headphones, and the memory card, and I get straight to work. I cut the videos, add soundbites, b-roll, slides, fades, music, and every small detail that makes the episode come together successfully. Down below, you will find some of my best editing work.

I PRODUCED THESE BUMPERS TO FRESHEN UP OUR SPORTSCAST LAST YEAR. I FILMED ALL OF THE CLIPS AND PICKED OUT THE MUSIC TO BOTH VIDEOS, AS WELL AS EDITING BOTH.
